- Does Liminal need an account?
- No. There is no sign-up and no login.
- Does it work offline?
- Yes, completely. Transformation, inscriptions, widgets and wallpapers all work in airplane mode.
- Is my photo uploaded to a server?
- Never. The transformation runs on the iPhone itself. Liminal has no server to upload to.
- Can it set my wallpaper automatically?
- iOS does not allow any app to change the wallpaper itself. Liminal saves the finished portal to Photos and walks you through the two taps that set it.
- Which iPhones are supported?
- Every iPhone running iOS 26. Nothing in the core experience depends on a newer chip — the transformation, the gallery and the widgets work identically on every supported device.
