Hamon composes heat-treat schedules for the steel, equipment, and target hardness you choose, and renders them as a shop-card you can follow or export. It is provided as-is, for general audiences.
Hamon is free to use, with an optional one-time purchase ("Full Library"). This is a non-consumable in-app purchase, not a subscription. It does not renew and there are no recurring charges. It unlocks the full steel library, PDF export, and saved cards. The free tier (the 1084, 80CrV2, and 15N20 steels) remains fully usable without it.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. You can restore the purchase at any time from Settings inside the app. All billing and refunds are handled by Apple.
The heat-treat data in Hamon is compiled from cited public sources (Knife Steel Nerds and mill datasheets, named in the app next to each value). Verify every value against your own steel supplier's datasheet before you heat any metal. Alloys and processes vary between mills and heats, and a schedule that suits one batch may not suit yours.
You are responsible for shop safety. Heat treating involves high temperatures, open flame or electric heat, quench media, and cryogenic materials. Hamon does not supervise your shop and cannot account for your specific equipment, workspace, or protective gear. Use appropriate training, ventilation, and protection, and follow the safety guidance from your equipment and material suppliers.
Cards you create from your own inputs are yours. Hamon claims no rights over them.
