SOFT DAY

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 May 2026. Effective: at App Store release.

Short version

Soft Day is built to be private. We do not run a server. We do not collect personal data. Your entries stay on your iPhone. Voice input is transcribed entirely on your device by Apple's on-device Speech framework. Nothing leaves your device because of how this app is built.

Who we are

Soft Day is published by Hadger, a trade name of Individual Entrepreneur Шмигирилов Василий Николаевич (ИП ШМИГИРИЛОВ), registered in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Contact: hadger.support@gmail.com.

What data the app handles

Entries you write

The text of each entry is stored only on your iPhone, using Apple's standard on-device storage (SwiftData). We have no access to this content. We do not receive copies. No one at Hadger reads your entries.

Voice input

When you tap the microphone button, your iPhone records audio and converts it to text using Apple's on-device Speech Recognition framework, configured with requiresOnDeviceRecognition = true. Audio buffers exist only in memory during the recording session and are released immediately when recording stops. No audio file is written to disk. No audio is sent over the network. Only the transcribed text becomes part of your entry and is stored locally, the same way typed text is stored.

Microphone permission

iOS requires your explicit permission for microphone use. We request both microphone and Speech Recognition permissions only at the first time you tap the microphone button — never before, never on launch. If you deny, the app continues to work fully with typed input.

Subscription

If you subscribe, Apple handles the payment. Apple sends your iPhone a cryptographic receipt that the app reads via StoreKit 2 to confirm your subscription is active. We do not receive your name, email, payment method, or any identifying information from Apple. We do not have a customer database.

Analytics and tracking

None. The app does not include analytics SDKs (Mixpanel, Amplitude, Firebase, etc.). The app does not use the Apple Tracking Transparency framework. The app does not generate any HTTP traffic to a server we control, because we do not have one. Apple may collect some aggregated, anonymous device-level usage data through standard App Analytics; that data is governed by Apple's privacy policy and we have no access to individual records.

iCloud backup

If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your iPhone, Apple's standard device backup includes your app data — the same way it includes Notes, Messages, and other apps. This is a feature of your iCloud account, not a feature of Soft Day. Backups are stored on Apple's servers and encrypted by Apple in transit and at rest; if you have Advanced Data Protection enabled on your Apple ID, the backup is also end-to-end encrypted so that not even Apple can read it. We have no access to your iCloud backups under any configuration. If you want to delete this data, you can disable iCloud Backup for Soft Day in Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Backups, or delete Soft Day from your device entirely.

Children

Soft Day is rated 4+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone — including children — because we do not collect data at all. The app contains no advertising and no third-party content.

Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, and similar)

Because we do not collect personal data, there is no data we can give you, correct, delete, or transfer on request. Your entries are on your device, under your control. You can delete them in the app at any time, or by deleting the app.

If you believe we are somehow collecting your data despite the above, contact hadger.support@gmail.com and we will investigate.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, mention the change in the app's What's New section on App Store. Continued use of the app after a change indicates acceptance of the new policy.
