Sift is built and operated by Hadger studio (ИП Шмигирилов, Kazakhstan). This policy describes how Sift handles your data. The short version: Sift collects nothing.

What Sift does not collect

What stays on your iPhone

The worries you write, the settled Act / Noise / Recurring buckets, and the recurring-theme insights Sift surfaces are all stored locally on your device via Apple's SwiftData framework, protected by full-device encryption. When you dump a worry by voice, Apple's on-device speech recognition turns your words into text on your iPhone as you speak — no audio file is created, and nothing is sent to any server. You can type your worries instead at any time.

How your worries are sorted

The sorting Sift does — placing each worry into Act, Noise, or Recurring, and finding themes that come up repeatedly — is computed on your iPhone using Apple's on-device Foundation Models and Natural Language framework, plus a rule-based engine. On devices without Apple Intelligence, a rule-based fallback produces a coarser "Basic sort." It is not a cloud model and not a guess. Sift is a calm sorting tool, not therapy: it never claims to diagnose, treat, or reduce anxiety or any condition. If you are struggling, please talk to a qualified professional.

What network calls Sift makes

Sift uses Apple's StoreKit framework for subscription and purchase verification. When you start a free trial, subscribe, buy the lifetime unlock, or restore purchases, the StoreKit framework contacts Apple's App Store endpoints. This is Apple-controlled and unavoidable for any paid app on the App Store. Sift itself initiates no other outbound network call. The app works fully in airplane mode, and you can verify this with any network proxy (such as Charles or Proxyman) over a full session.

Children

Sift is rated 4+ and is suitable for general audiences, but it is designed for adults sorting their own worries and is not directed at children. Sift does not knowingly collect data from any user, including children under 13. (It collects no data from anyone.)

Changes to this policy

Material changes will be reflected in this page's "Last updated" date. If a change affects what Sift collects, the change will be announced in-app before it takes effect.
