Effective 2026. Fermata is made by Hadger (IP Shmigirilov).
Fermata has no server, no account, and no analytics. The motion samples the app reads while you hold your iPhone are processed only on your device, reduced to a single reading, and then discarded. The trace itself is never stored, never transmitted and never shared. Everything Fermata keeps, which is the reading, its date, its duration and its picture, lives in local storage on your iPhone or iPad.
App Store purchases (Apple StoreKit). Everything else, including the hold, the reading, the record, the widgets, StandBy and sharing, works in Airplane Mode. There is no Private Cloud Compute and no cloud model. Nothing leaves the device unless you tap Share and hand a card to the system share sheet yourself.
Data Not Collected. There is no account, no identifier, and no tracking of any kind.
Reading a moment requires no permission and shows no prompt: Fermata uses foreground device-motion sampling, which iOS does not gate behind an authorization dialog. Fermata requests no permission of any kind — there is no photo library, camera, microphone, location, contacts, health or notification access anywhere in the app. Sharing a card passes it to the system share sheet, which asks nothing of you.
Any reading can be removed in the app at any time, which also deletes its picture; deleting the app deletes everything it stored.
