How is the safe-to-spend number calculated?

Cushion adds up your account balances, subtracts the bills due before your next payday, then subtracts your safety buffer. The result is the number you see. It updates instantly whenever you change any input. There is an in-app explainer that shows the exact math.

Does Cushion connect to my bank?

No. Cushion never asks for a bank login and never connects to any financial aggregator. You enter your balances and bills yourself; everything stays on your iPhone.

Why does the wording look different on my older iPhone?

On devices that support Apple Intelligence, Cushion phrases the explanation sentence with Apple's on-device Foundation Models. On older devices it uses a built-in static phrasing instead. The number itself is identical on every device.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and select Cushion. You can also restore a previous purchase from Cushion's own Settings screen.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and select the Cushion purchase.
